A fusion of American colonial elegance and modern innovation.
Fairview awning and casement windows have strong frames, over and above minimum compliance codes, to withstand all seasons.
Ventilation
These windows provide good ventilation, which makes them a popular option. During rainy weather they can be left partly open without worries of rain getting inside.
Corners are reinforced giving stability and ease of opening. Condensation problems are managed by fitting a wide condensation tray at the bottom of most Fairview windows, which drains externally. Glazing is by external aluminium bead, which takes away the need for unsightly and removable external glazing rubber. The result is a more attractive and secure window. Double-glazing is also an option.
Openings
Awning and casement windows have outward-opening sashes, with the awning hinged at the top and casement hinged at the side. Please note: careful design is needed if they are to be used close to pedestrian pathways or decks.
Finishes
Colonial and Federation bars can be added to complement an architectural preference.
Typical Applications
Casement windows have become especially popular for renovators. They have a traditional look and help recapture the look of an earlier era.
Locking
Awning and casement windows have a range of stays and catches, both with locking options for additional security. The standard colour option is black, while colour matching is an attractive alternative.
