The poetic simplicity of a Japanese design.
Inspired by the effortless eloquence of Japanese architecture, these sliding windows, create the feeling of space, and bring light and air into your room.
Fairview sliding windows can be either horizontal or vertical sliding. They are perfect for restricted spaces, like above kitchen benches, or where protrusion beyond the building is not an option. The windows ride on purpose designed rollers, making for smooth movement without that “fettle” when being opened or closed.
Stacker windows are an extension of sliding windows and have two panels stacking behind each other, allowing added window space to be opened up. Insect screens can also be easily fitted to Fairview windows, which you’ll really appreciate in summer.
Fairview double hung window
These double hung windows are also known as vertical sliding windows and feature a pivot sash. The windows tilt to allow for easy cleaning from inside and are great for space management. Ventilation is excellent as the air can flow through both the top and bottom, so cooking and other household smells rapidly disappear.
With its chunky look and scrolls under the top sash if required, the window can match traditional timber and colonial style housing designs. The stainless steel and plastic balance system requires little maintenance and there is no rusting. Frameless vertical sliding windows provide an unobstructed view with excellent ventilation, and are a great for multi-story houses.
Locking
Standard can locks are used for vertical and horizontal windows. Other options are available on request.
Features
Clearance is unrestricted for both horizontal and vertical sliding windows. Ventilation is excellent, although, as there is no protection from the elements, they need to be closed in bad weather.
